  • Overview

    The Application Developer is responsible for providing application solutions, technical designs, architecture, and support for enterprise information software and systems. This entails incorporating commercial off the shelf solutions with the organization’s internally created software solutions and legacy IT systems. Other duties the developer performs include participating in software selection, code reviews, and documenting the development process.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides development assistance in creating specific applications for business lines, including data collection applications and/or business intelligence solutions such as PowerBI.
    • Test and deploy applications and systems.
    • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
    • Integrate data between existing enterprise information systems, both proprietary and third-party.
    • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
    • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
    • Work with stakeholders, developers, and production teams across units to identify business needs and solution options.
    • Ensure best practice application to maintain security and integrity of data.

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least AS/AA/BS/BA degree. Technical certifications preferred.
    • Must have a minimum of three years of professional experience developing software solutions; experience with working on systems hosted in Amazon Web Services preferred.
    • Possess experience working with Microsoft frameworks and architecture
    • Possess experience working with system integrations using APIs and ETL processes
    • Possess experience working with Transact-SQL, MS SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Service.
    • Experience working with enterprise software solutions; preferred experience with educational applications or student information systems.
    • Superior ability to support and develop software solutions.
    • Profound understanding of SDLC (software development life cycle).
    • High achievement record in process quality improvement and efficient data solutions management.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, follow through and work independently and cross-functionally.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
