    Catapult Learning is seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Coordinator.  Under general supervision of the Director of Benefits and Safety, the Safety and Compliance Coordinator handles safety and compliance activities that ensure compliance filings are completed accurately and on time in accordance with State and Federal Regulations. Additionally they will be responsible with creating policies that ensure  a safe environment.  In addition, the compliance and safety coordinator will assist with the development and ongoing adherence of the Company Safety and Return to Work Program.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure all filing compliance deadlines and distribution of compliance notices are met for the human resources and benefits department such as EEO-1 filing, Annual of Summary Reports, 5500s, Medicare Creditable Coverage Notices and Annual OSHA reports.
    • Assist in the development and execution of health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
    • Assist with Workers Comp program and ensure the return to work, modified duty, and reporting to insurance carrier programs are effective.
    • Assist departmental managers in administering all processes and procedures simultaneously ensuring these departmental managers are working within regulation framework.
    • Develop and implement all safety and compliance policies and recommend ways to minimize risk.
    • Maintain and update Affirmative Action plans.
    • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
    • Coordinate training and presentations in conjunction with insurance carrier for health and safety matters as well as accident prevention.
    • Monitor compliance to policies and laws.
    • Report & educate on health and safety awareness, workplace injuries, and statistics.
    • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
    • Other assignments as necessary to maintain governmental compliance and a safe work environment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or related field experience preferred.
    • 2-5 years of prior human resources experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of basic employment law, compliance activities, and safety programs.
    • Understanding of legal, health, and safety guidelines.
    • Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
    • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Flexibility for occasional travel to company locations.
