  • Overview

    Provides Evaluation and Determination services on behalf of students enrolled in nonpublic schools in Pompton Lakes and Rockaway --in accordance with New JerseyState law (PL 193) and Catapult Learning policy and procedures.  provides assessment and summary report, attends meetings as requested, completes classroom observations as assigned.

    Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    1.   

      1. Attends Assessment Plan meetings for students referred for an Initial Evaluation. Attends Assessment Plan meeting for students referred for Re-evaluations as required.
    2. 2. Completes student assessments, creates assessment reports, and submits to Child Study Team Manager per Catapult Learning procedures
    3. 3.  If assigned to case manage, maintains caseload in compliance with state and company time-lines and regulations.
    4. 4, Attends Eligibility Determination Conferences, if assigned, for Initial and Re-evaluations.
    5. 5.  Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
    6. 6.  Works in compliance with Catapult Learning policies and procedures
    7. 7.  Remains knowledgeable and current with regard to NJ Code
    8. 8.  Other responsibilities as assigned

     

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:. Must have a Master’s Degree and be certified by the State of New Jersey as a School Psychologist.  Criminal background check as required by the state and the district.  Experience functioning as a member of a Child Study Team in New Jersey highly preferred.  Experience using computer based IEP programs desirable.

     

    OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work independently, remain focused on task completion and stay within time-lines.  Excellent ability to interact and communicate with students of all ages, parents, colleagues and school personnel.  Strong written communication and organizational skills.  Access to Microsoft word and internet access is a must.

     

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Ability to navigate a school environment.
