  • Overview

    Serves students enrolled in nonpublic schools in Burlington and Florence, NJ.  Provides intervention in areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice as identified in a formal speech language evaluation. May provide screening and comprehensive evaluation if requested.  Create and mainting Individual Service Plan for ESLS students. Service provided during the school day at assigned schools.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Designs and implements intervention programs which remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified students.
    • Offers consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s speech language goals.
    • Acts as a resource to parents, school personnel and other caregivers in the area of speech/language development.
    • Administers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency, if requested.
    • Creates and maintains Individual Service Plans for ESLS students.
    • Interprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills and generates reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents.
    • Is knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services by the Company's Program Manual, the funding source, and the individual school(s).
    • Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.



    Master’s degree and NJDOE certification as a speech/language specialist required by contract.  Experience providing speech services in a New Jersey school setting strongly preferred.
