  • Overview

    The Director, Sales Enablement is a key role serving as the lead for initiatives designed to enable the sales team to secure new business and meet growth objectives.

     

    Responsibilities

    Sales Operational Management

     

    • Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, reporting and budgeting processes used within the sales organization
    • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts
    • As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the organization
    • Works with IT to define important metrics and deploy tools that automate and streamline sales reporting
    • Implements enabling technologies, including CRM, to field sales teams

     

    Business Improvement

     

    The Director, Sales Enablement is expected to contribute to the sales organization’s continual improvement by:

    • Assessing internal and external data to determine industry trends and the company’s position and performance in the marketplace to provide insights as to how to adapt the selling approach
    • Proactively works to remove inefficiencies in the organization and creates an environment where non-selling activities are minimized for sales representatives
    • Works to create alignment across all functional groups to ensure coordination and collaboration across departments
    • Communicates the needs and roadblocks of the sales team and works with senior leaderships to implement process improvement initiatives that decrease the amount of non-selling time by the sales force
    • Develops training and readiness program to align to teams’ needs

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, IT or other related areas
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales operations/sales enablement
    • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to persuasively convey complex information to a broad audience
    • Must possess strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with CRM software such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce.com
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate Excel knowledge
    • Experience developing sales training programs preferred but not required
