Job Description Overview:
The responsibility of the Associate Director is to ensure that all students grow academically, behaviorally and socially in accordance with the mission of Catapult Learning. Responsibilities include and are not limited to supervising and coaching instructional and behavioral staff, meeting with parents, community members, and stakeholders, and providing oversight and continuing initiatives to the school program. Provides supervision to students with learning needs, diagnoses skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional and behavioral methods as determined by Catapult Learning; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; communicates and conferences with parents providing information on student progress.

• Develops training sessions, oversees and evaluates designated instructional models for eligible students through utilization of Catapult materials and educational strategies.
• Identifies and enrolls eligible students through existing test scores, administering tests, and/or other acceptable methods as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Committed to Catapult values and ensures that staff are aligned with school values in order to promote a positive school culture.
• Provides oversight and ensures the maintenance of student forms and files as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Establishes and maintains a positive customer relationship with classroom teachers, Program Directors, parents and stakeholders.
• Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Catapult Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Oversee the collection of data for IEP’s and ensure the implementation accommodations and modifications in the classroom.
• Participate in IEP Meetings, as needed.
• Participate and lead IEP and Intake meetings.
• Ensure data for FBA’s and Behavior Plans is timely and sufficient.
• Complete weekly plans that meet the needs of the school and Director.
• Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers.
• Must be flexible.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in an educationally applicable area.
Five years of experience working with at risk students, including those with behavior issues and Special Education students.
Must be open to continuing education opportunities and seeking advanced degrees as applicable to the position, and state guidelines.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Must be able to lead, evaluate, and coach staff members. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Must be available to work twelve months per year.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
