Hourly teachers provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas; diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by Catapult Learning; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; and communicates and conferences with parents providing information on student progress.
Most hours of instruction take place after school, though some may be scheduled before school or during lunch/recess hours.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Requires a bachelor’s degree and teaching experience. Valid teaching credential highly preferred.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards students, families, and schools. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
