    Responsibilities

     

    As a School Social Worker you will be responsible for:
    · Developing and implementing social/emotional/behavioral goals and objectives for IEPs
    · Individual counseling, social skills group, case management, crisis intervention, and implementing interventions to help your students to successfully access their education
    · Collaboration with colleagues, parents/guardians, outside service providers and districts
    ·Actively participating in the IEP process for your students
    · Career growth with opportunities for leadership roles

     

    Qualifications

    Candidates must possess a School Social Worker certification (071) through the CT Department of Education.

     

    Must have demonstrated ability to communicate with students, families and school personnel. Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communications skills are essential. Computer literacy preferred.
