The High Road School is hiring a speech language pathologist (SLP) at our Elkton / Cecil County location on Singerly Road. High Road School is a non-public facility serving special education students with a variety of disabilities, and focuses strongly on a proven behavioral management model to address behavior issues in the school setting. The speech language pathologist (SLP) provides intervention in areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice as identified in a formal speech language evaluation. May provide screening and comprehensive evaluation if requested.
The candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be flexible. The speech language pathologist (SLP) candidate should also be able to learn and adapt to the High Road model despite any previous training.
Speech language pathologists are responsible for a case-load of up to 10 special education students. Individual sessions are delivered on a weekly-basis. Currently the school has around six hours of direct service, however, the candidate would also be reimbursed for meetings and progress monitoring.
Possiblity of full-time status if candiate is able to travel to other locations.
The candidate MUST have documentation of SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) licensure in the state of Maryland, Delaware, or Pennsylvania to be considered.
