    Springall Academy is a state certified Non-Public School serving all school district students with special needs ages 6-22 since 1972. Springall specializes in providing a comprehensive education in the three domains: academics, personal-social development and career/world readiness. The Springall culture is one of teamwork, collaboration and student focus. Our mission is to provide an environment where all students are encouraged and respected to reach their full potential. We follow the traditional calendar with 180 school days. Springall’s educational focus is two-fold: 1) to provide programs for students on a certificate track which focuses on functional skills, i.e., workability 1 and transitional skills classes 2.) to provide a standard program, offering core academic instruction for students on a diploma track.

    Responsibilities

    Springall Academy is looking for a Special Education Teacher with a Mild/Mod Credential or Mild/Moderate Intern Credential. Teacher is responsible for a caseload of 12-14 students, developing and writing IEP’s, implementing lesson plans that align with state standards or IEP goals, classroom behavior management, curriculum development and above all working with a team that provides a therapeutic educational placement for students with special needs. The classroom is supported both by the Director, Associate Director and the Direct Service providers (OT, SLP and Counseling).

    • Hours are 7:15-3:15 Monday-Wednesday and 7:15-2:15 Thursday, Friday

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Special Education; from an accredited University
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
