    We are an organization of dedicated people who know how exciting and rewarding it is to help children achieve. We emphasize flexible work schedules, small group teaching environments and high professional standards.

     

    The Parent Involvement Presenter will provide one-hour workshops to Title I parents on a variety of topics. The workshops will be provided onsite at one of the many participating schools throughout Greater Los Angeles, and consist of proprietary materials provided by Catapult Learning. The content will be presented in either English or Spanish, and will focus on helping parents support their child’s academic success.

    Responsibilities

    As the presenter, you will:

    • Contact your assigned schools directly to schedule workshops 
    • Present one-hour workshops to Title I parents within the Greater Los Angeles area
    • Send in resulting forms (workshop sign-in sheets, etc.)

    Qualifications

    Eight Mandatory Requirements for All Parent Involvement Presenters:

    Each candidate must clearly demonstrate:

    • 1) Two or more years of verifiable experience teaching Title I/at risk students 
    • 2) AND ALSO two or more years of verifiable experience teaching parents of Title I/at risk students, especially how to improve their child’s academic skills

     Each candidate must clearly possess:

    • 3) Language skills sufficient to teach in both English and Spanish
    • 4) AND ALSO a Master’s degree in education/related field – either completed or currently in progress. If you are currently in a master’s program, please specify your estimated completion month and year

     For each job listed, your resume must specify ALL of the following:

    • 5) Grade level taught
    • 6) Subject matter/topics covered
    • 7) Type (for example, Title I or at risk, if applicable)
    • 8) Language(s) used (for example, if you taught the course in Spanish)

     You must meet or exceed ALL EIGHT of the above requirements to be considered for this position.
