School Social Worker needed for a comprehensive educational program in a therapeutic setting to improve student confidence and competence
Provides individual, and group therapy, as well as school crisis counseling to students with emotional, social, and communication disabilities according to each student's needs/abilities. This includes assessing a student's therapeutic needs/strengths and establishing a therapeutic relationship while utilizing interventions that will enhance a student's overall school functioning.
Must be a licensed social worker with at least two years experience in field. Must have thorough knowledge of testing and evaluation techniques and competent in assessment procedures and interpretation of the results.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate with students, families and school personnel. Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communications skills are essential. Computer literacy preferred.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
