Overview

We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual to provide speech-language services to school-age students within Philadelphia private and charter schools. Targeted areas include: articulation, language, pragmatics, fluency, and voice. The therapist will also provide screenings and evaluations as needed.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and implement intervention programs for students with speech-language impairments.
  • Provide itinerant services to a variety of students within private and charter schools.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to provide support based on the individual needs of each student.
  • Provide information and resources to parents and school staff regarding speech-language therapy.
  • Administer appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and on-going assessments to develop or update student goals/plans.
  • Generate documentation (e.g., intervention plans, IEPs, evaluation reports, etc.) representing a clear depiction of student needs in a timely manner.
  • Knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services by the Company's Program Manual, the funding source, and the individual school(s).

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree, CCCs or CFY preferred. 

PA Teaching Certificate required

Candidate must possess clearances updated within three years (i.e., FBI fingerprinting, PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance)
