A general understanding of the teacher’s routine will be necessary when it comes to covering a classroom if the teacher is preoccupied. Teaching assistants will work with all students in the building to promote their learning and pro-social development. They may assist with parent communication to keep parents informed about their child’s development and any recent concerns. All teaching assistants will actively engage in both the academic and social emotional development of students.

• Valid driver's license
• DPS fingerprint card (or eligible)
• Pass a mandatory drug screen and background check
