Leadership Coaches

 

Catapult Learning, the leading provider of educational services to families, schools, and industry since 1976, seeks full-time Leadership Coaches in the Midwest Region. This is a unique opportunity to support and enhance the leadership capabilities and practices of educational leaders in public, private, and religious schools.

 

Coaches will work collaboratively with the Midwest PD Team as well as school leadership to  focus on teacher effectiveness and student performance.  The coaching role involves supporting school leaders to successfully implement and sustain a school-wide approach that aligns standards with curricula, classroom instruction, assessments, and students’ learning needs. 

 

Responsibilities

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional school support to help school leaders build the capacity of their teaching staff.
  • Help school leaders use data analysis wisely to drive decisions about increasing teacher and leadership effectiveness.
  • Engage one-on-one with school leadership in a combination of the following activities: goal-setting, co-planning, classroom walkthroughs, teaching observations, tracking and analyzing data, and providing feedback.
  • Increase the effectiveness of school leaders through collaborative and creative data-driven problem solving
  • Establish and nurture trusting, collaborative relationships with teachers and administrators. 
  • Align school resources (e.g. staff professional development opportunities) with school’s vision, mission, and goals in order to maximize attainment of school improvement priorities.
  • Support principals in creating a coherent school-wide culture of high learning expectations and continuous improvement.

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of effective teaching experience in K-8 classrooms and at least 5 years administrative leadership experience in a school setting
  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Education or related field
  • School Administration Certification


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:


Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs
are in school settings
