Responsibilities

Responsibilities/Core Functions include (but are not limited to) the following job tasks:

 

There are two primary components to the Procurement Analyst role: 1. Manage all materials needs for the Missouri Summer Journey program, ensuring that all needed materials are identified, ordered, and delivered in the most effective and efficient manner. 2. Support corporate procurement efforts

 

  1. Manage all materials needs for the Missouri Summer Journey program
  • Manage 1,400 item bill of materials, including sourcing and updates
  • Manage procurement and kitting vendors

Provide vendors with bill of materials and proof the bill of materials from vendor system to ensure accuracy.

Closely monitor vendor orders and ensure all needed kit materials are ordered on time

Closely monitor vendors on status of order receipts and kitting progress

Generate purchase orders (requisitions) when needed

Coordinate material substitutions on an as needed basis

  • Conduct materials analysis

Analyze costs of items and compare across procurement vendors and relative to prior year

Calculate materials cost and submit to management for approval

Monitor inventory quantities and value at vendors

 

     2. Support corporate procurement efforts

  • Conduct analysis to identify opportunities for procurement-related savings
  • Support the process of contracting with preferred vendors for specific spend categories, including identifying potential vendors, managing proposal process, conducting comparison of proposals, and participating in vendor negotiations
  • Manage preferred vendors on day-to-day basis, including supporting internal Catapult users
  • Help to ensure identified procurement savings are captured

Qualifications

  • Either undergraduate degree or significant experience (with logistics, procurement, or materials management) is required; preference will be given to candidates with both
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and especially Excel
  • Able to and interested in learning new software systems
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Analytical and possess strong quantitative skills
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Able to maintain composure under pressure
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible, resourceful, and the able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
