Overview

Deliver top quality instruction and maintain the learning environment in the Title I classroom, including all lesson plan implementation, assessment, classroom management, and parent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Teachers are the model of the Company's program.  Lead Teachers develop strong relationships with the school administration and staff.
  • Meets with Area Manager/Supervisor weekly (face to face or via phone).
  • Maintain customer focus by relating positively to children and demonstrating professional relationships with parents, children, co-workers, and school staff.
  • Must be able to analyze and suggest solutions to work situations and problems, and follow up by communicating effectively to manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality of co-workers, children, and families.
  • Responsible for the implementation of lesson plans and assessments using the Company's proprietary curriculum components.
  • Follow a daily schedule as well as establish routines with smooth transition periods.
  • Ensure that classroom is safe, clean, and complies with all state licensing regulations.
  • Administers and facilitates assessments.  This should be coordinated in conjunction with Program Supervisor/Area Manager.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION:

  • Lead Teacher should build and maintain a professional relationship with office staff and maintenance team.
  • Maintains communication with school administration and notifies Area Manager of concerns and issues to be addressed.
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Requires a bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certificate, as required by contract. Teaching experience preferred.  Excellent writing skills.

 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid teaching certificate required.

 


OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.  Must be available to work the summer months.

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
