Overview

Catapult Learning is holding a strategic hiring event for PT teachers for the upcoming school year on Saturday June 24th from 10am – 2pm for Miami-Dade County.  The event will be held at the Catapult Leanring Office located at 11402 NW 41st Street, Suite 206 (above the Dunkin Donuts) Doral, FL 33178.  In order to be considered for these fantastic teacher opportunities, please apply to the job prior to the event and be sure to visit with our hiring team on June 17th.  Please bring a copy of your resume and Florida valid teaching certificates to be interviewed and potentially receive an offer on the spot. 

 

Catapult learning is seeking part–time (PT) teachers for the upcoming school year.  The (PT) teacher will provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas; diagnoses learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by Catapult Learning; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; communicates and conferences with parents providing information on student progress. 

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of Catapult materials and educational strategies.
  • Identifies and enrolls eligible students through existing test scores, administering tests, and/or other acceptable methods as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
    Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Catapult classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
  • Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive customer relationship with classroom teachers and principals, including providing achievement objectives and updated approved schedules of services.
  • Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Catapult Supervisors, classroom teachers,parents, and principal as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
  • Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and Florida valid teaching certificate, as required by contract.
  • Teaching experience preferred, although not mandatory. Preferably Elementary Education and/or Reading and/or Exceptional Student Education.
