SUMMARY:

Chief administrator for a range of services provided to students in schools throughout the five boroughs of NYC. This individual is part of the team that is responsible for

 the effective management of all client relationships within region and directly responsible for overall service quality, client satisfaction, promotional activities and the delivery of P&L for the region.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contract Management and Renewal 
  • Intimately understand and implement the terms and conditions of all contracts and proposals for the programs the director oversees. 
  • Maintain and strengthen key relationships needed for renewal of programs. Communicate regularly and effectively with representatives of the schools and the districts we serve. Alert Territory Vice President to potential problems and offer proactively viable solutions. 
  • Develop with Territory Vice President a strategic plan for optimal renewal of contracts for the region each year. Carry out appropriate renewal activity throughout the year. 
  • Ensure delivery of all contract deliverables and obligations 
  • Ensure that the appropriate processes, tools, and checks & balances are in place to complete all internal and external reporting and billing requirements. 
  • Ensure that the tools and processes are in place to effectively manage the accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support each program. 
  • Responsible for overseeing the recruiting and hiring of all needed staff to fulfill our contractual obligations 
  • Supports the team to execute in full compliance to Federal, state and local requirements 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage regional staff, providing support, evaluation and discipline as required 
  • With support of the HR department, oversee evaluation, retention, and, if necessary, termination of direct service staff. 
  • With the support of the Territory VP and the Education Group, responsible for staff development. 
  • Maintain appropriate and regular communication with staff. 
  • Keep appropriate corporate support staff informed of contract activities. Communicate regularly with, and provide needed information to, Territory Vice President. 
  • Partner and communicate successfully with appropriate corporate teams in managing Region. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

Masters Degree preferred (Business or Education) and at least five years of related experience in the areas of education or business. Experience working with school districts preferred. Prior management and budget experience a must. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management.

 

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel: Travel within New York City. Little travel is required outside of that.
  • Candidate must possess a sense of urgency, understanding of education environment, ability to work in cross-functional teams, flexibility, and team orientation. 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
